Auto-buy and alerts

A limit is a price for one exact card at one exact grade. An alert tells you when it lists at or under that price. An auto-buy buys it for you.

Setting a limit

Like a card on Markets, then open Auto-Buy. Every liked card is there with its order, if any. An alert watches every buy-now listing of that exact card and grade, on every venue. Auto-buy, and the deposit that funds it, is only offered on a Collector Crypt listing. Omni pins the card to one Alt.xyz identity, so a lookalike print, set, or language never counts as a match. If Alt.xyz cannot tell the card apart from similar ones, the limit is refused rather than guessed.

Suggested prices are arithmetic on the last sale and Alt.xyz Value. They are not a recommendation.

Alerts

An alert watches every venue on the board. When a matching listing is at or under your price, it is recorded as a hit and shown on Dashboard, with a count on the Alerts & Limits link. Alerts cost nothing and never move funds.

Auto-buy

An auto-buy runs on Collector Crypt, where listings settle in USDC. You deposit the limit plus the 2% fee, and the limit is armed once that deposit is confirmed on Solana.

  1. Deposit
Sign one USDC transfer for the limit plus 2%. A $36 limit is a deposit of about $36.72; the last fraction of a cent matches the transfer to your limit.
  2. Watch
Armed Collector Crypt auto-buys are checked every few seconds against live Collector Crypt asks. Alerts still recheck on a longer timer. A listing has to match the card’s Alt.xyz identity, grader, and grade, and its ask has to be at or under your limit.
  3. Check before paying
On a match, Omni reads the live listing again, builds the purchase, and simulates it. It refuses any transaction that would spend more than your limit or the ask.
  4. Buy
The purchase is paid from your deposit. The fee is 2% of the price actually paid, and the rest of the deposit is returned to your refund address.

Statuses

Not scanning until you resume it.
Refund pending
Cancelled after funding. The deposit is on its way back.
Refunded

Cancelling

Edit the price, pause, or cancel from Auto-Buy or Dashboard. Changing the price of a funded auto-buy replaces the order: the current deposit is returned automatically and the new price waits for its own deposit, so every order has exactly one deposit to prove its refund from. Cancel any time before a match. An alert or an unfunded auto-buy closes at once. A funded auto-buy keeps no fee: the deposit is returned to your refund address automatically, sized from your deposit transaction on Solana. A limit that is mid-purchase can be cancelled once the purchase settles, usually within a minute.
